My wife and I live a mile west of the I-15 exit for SR 92. You have to pay to enter American Fork Canyon, which SR 92 goes through. My wife and I went rappelling up that canyon once and the campsites up there looked pretty nice. Although I don't know if you have to pay for the campsites that we rappelled by because they had vault toilets and picnic tables. As long as you are staying up American Fork Canyon you might want to check out Timpanogos cave. It is a mile or two hike UP a paved path. I think it costs $7/person and it may be difficult with the kiddos.

It's my understanding that the fee to use the canyon is for everything.. hiking/picnic areas/camping.. I'll double check when we are actually there but what I saw was very reasonable and I don't mind a use fee anyways.. always nice to not have to pay though.

If you need anything while you are here (internet, place to take a shower, water, ect.) give me a call 928-607-9508. I will be gone this saturday but other than that don't hesitate to call.

Made it home safe after 2000+ miles. Pics in the link below. Most of the pics are from Zion but a few are from Antelope Island.

We fell in love with SLC, hopefully it works out for our future to end up there. Proximity to everything outdoors is amazing, and the scenery is beautiful.

Great pics and glad you made it home safely! Wish I would have looked sooner that you were in town. When we first moved here, we thought it would just be a stepping stone to move on to somewhere else. 7 years and 4 promotion opportunities later, we are still here. We really enjoy this area... :haveabeer:
