Shut off Fog Lights?

Is there a way to keep the fog lights from coming on when you use the remote unlock on the 07 Tracs? I don't want to disconnect them, because I do use them when I drive, however; I don't need so much light when unlocking the truck. Bed light, tail lights, fog lights, interior lights, mirror lights, plus the yellow markers come on when you unlock.

On the Gen 1 you can simply turn the switch off inside and then turn them on only when you need them....

I think he is upset because when he unlocks the door with the key fob, too many lights turn on.



Have you tried shutting them off inside the ST (Push the headlight switch in) and then unlocking your doors? Not sure if it disables it, but worth a try. I don't mind the extra light. I find it quite useful. Keeps me from tripping over stuff in front of the ST...

A1cntrler, you got it. I don't want them to come on when I unlock the truck.



I tried turning them off at the switch, but they still come on with the remote unlock. It is somehow connected to the auto light sensor, because they only come on when you unlock the truck at night and not during the day.



The fogs are bright, which for security is good, however; to kind of subdue the effect, I installed blue led's in the mirrors and the interior dome lights and now don't want the fogs to come on when I unlock the truck.

I'm sure it's in the computer that runs the security system and I'd be surprised if there is a way to turn them off. Just have to go old-school and use the key to unlock it I guess.
