Skid Plates

Any word on whether skid plates will be an option on the new ST?

I understand it is currently not a option, correct?

If so, any reason why?

The 4x4 comes with a transfer case skid plate standard...and once upon a time, the 2001 Job 1, had a skid plate option, it included transfer case and fuel tank.



With the reduced offroad capability and onroad softness of the new Ex/F150, er ST, I doubt you'll see a skid plate option.



A quick look at the 2006 Explorer Ordering Guide reveals there is a skid plate option, but only for fleet vehicles.

At least the driveshafts will be protected by the frame that they go through...
