Had to drive about 30 miles on the Parkway this morning. Out of the blue the Trac was attacked by thousands of suicidal Kamikazes. However, the Trac held up well under the threat. It seems the Love Bugs underestimated the 70 mph speed.

Definetly wash them off quickly from the glass and paint or they will leave marks. Back when I drove OTR that was a minute by minute occurance, they do love the heat coming off the roadways.

Also not fun. Running into a mass of them on a motorcycle, been there...LOL

Ha ha Eddie, meeeee to. Mayflies, soft....gooey...mayflies! About never got them all off of my leathers.:angry:

Looks like the front of my van all summer after a typical 500 mile trip every Tuesday.:sad:

I used to make a special run down to Evansville, Indiana to the "Streakin'" Beacon Truck Wash.

It was the only truck wash that made your truck look like new evrytime no matter what you had on your truck.

Here's a picture of my old ride, I really miss her but since Carol and I are having a baby in October she says those days are gone.

:supercool::cry::sad::sad::driving::cry:

And yes I know my truck number was 420, funny thing is I've never done any type of drugs or smoked cigarettes.

This was in early spring and my truck had about 4 months of northern road salt, grime and 2 weeks of southern bugs covering the entire truck and trailer.

I guess the President flew his family to Florida today to watch the shuttle takeoff. Sorry no launch. Wonder who is going to pay to get the love bugs cleaned off that thing. You and me. Sorry.

:cheeky:

:bwahaha:

jerry,

i have driven' a huge amount of miles in my life and always respect the OTR driver as having a great driving skill. with the ability to adapt to all conditions in a vehicle that size is a pro in itself. the majority of the auto popualation should understand this as well.

btw: that truck looks nice. ever been to I-75 chrome shop?

I've been to most of the chrome shops out there for big trucks and love going to see all the new things they have out now-a-days.

Nothing Sexier then a lit up Chicken Truck rolling down the highway or at a Truck Stop in the middle of the night.:love:

I'm partial to the old cabover trucks myself.
