I receently discovered that The wifes ST will stall when getting washed. The high pressure air over the auto dryers seem to overload the airflow sensor, then the motor stalls. The first time it happened I didn't notice until I hit the gas pedal. Anybody ever have this happen to them? I would assume the closed throttle sensor is freaking out wonder where all this air is coming from...lol.

On occasion while i use the air compressor to dry off the motor on my st, If i get too close to the intake filter the truck will stumble and stall....

It is causing the MAF to bug out...

I have washed my engine literally hundreds of times with the high pressure car wash wand and never had a stalling issue. Make sure your intake plenum (Tube) is connected well and has no open ports or holes in it...

Coastie, reread the post, Raser was taking about air, not water which is what I think you are describing.

I take my '04 through a full-service that has killer blowers at the exit, never a problem.

I go thru an automated wash sometimes too. The blowes rock the truck back and forth and lift my wiper arms up from the windshield, but never a sputter or stall.
