Eddie, The harbor stuff you have to watch, the edges are not pointed so if the bolt is a little worn or some one messed it up, they just slip.... Sucks...
 
I haven’t installed my Scale Gen2 Adrenaline kit just yet, but I’ll be sure to advise ASAP when it’s installed.

Nice job. Building up a 4set of coil overs was the direction I was headed also. I amazed and doing the Happy Dance when my Scale 4set arrived on my front patio, as if it was X’mas Morning.
Let me know how that scale kit works.
 
Just FYI
Be prepared, the biggest fight I ever had, changing the rear shocks of my '04 ST 4x4. Also no air tools, just wrenching and sockets. Had to drop the spare and had to loosen all the brackets for the vapor tanks hidden under the truck bed and separate large vacuum hoses.
Then just getting to the top shock bolts, drivers side was the worst. If you have a lift it will be so much easier standing up.
Just trying to give you some insight into what it entailed for me, I never thought it would take most of the day for two rear shocks, the fronts were done in 1/2 an hour. All I put in was some skinny Rancho 5000 shocks. Of course I did it all alone thinking it would be a piece of cake.
Hopefully yours will be way easier with better tools than my project and with friends.

Post before and after pics. Really looking forward to seeing the ride height difference!

I have a 04 ST XLT 4X2 With 130,000 miles . I don't drive it much & no long trips. I did notice the shackle bushings going bad on the rear shocks & the front was a bit bouncy so decided to replace all the shocks. Looked like just factory to me so ordered all new shocks & shackles. Took me around 2 days laying on cardboard &using just wrenches & sockets, no air or lift, just a couple of bottle jacks. It was a battle for sure ,but then I'm 87 years old.
 
Wow I hope I have your stamina! Good on you! My 2010 Adrenalin 4x4 with 180,000 km could use that I am sure

Here is a quick update on the install of my Scale Suspension lowering (Gen2) STA Coilover kit. Its Installed, Woop WOOP.
The Scale kit install is really straight forward, But the biggest challenge most will probably have is getting the lower shock bolt removed from the lower A-arms. FYI, the lower A-arm Shock bolts are Discontinued so be patient getting them out. Note: On my Gen2 the top bearing plate needed to be slightly trimmed on the inboard side to make minimal clearance for the shock tower.

Hello out there,
I’m getting to a point where I’m looking at lower my 10’ STA 2” in the front and rear with coil over shocks. I have been looking at QA1 with adjustable compression & rebound for the highest quality ride possible.
Has anyone out there went the direction of lowering a Gen2 Adrenaline with an adjustable coil overs?

WTH, The STA on the Lift photo was suppose to be deleted, So I thought.

Les, did you go with the standard or low version? How much drop, any alignment issues?

I ordered the Standard drop kit. On the first shot the rear end came down a quit a bit at 4”+, which is where it currently sits in the photos. The front height took a little more adjustment to get the desired ride height. Yes, I will have to get an alinement on all four corners. Im currently working on setting the shock rebound adjustment and verifing the Sway bar positioning.
Note: Here is a before & after ride height.

That's awesome. I was just looking at this thread yesterday before you posted. Is yours AWD? From what I understand, you can't go any lower than the standard kit with AWD.
I like the wheels too, what are those?

My 10’ STA is AWD and my desire ride height is not sitting as low as the shocks will allow, but in saying that I’m sure the ride quality will deteriorate substantially, if I go much lower. I’m just guessing but i can probably go another 1” or so lower in the front and rear.
That brings a question to myself: How low will the Standard Scale kit actually allow?
If I get some extra time i’ll do a Max Low Down test and post the results. The Wheels are ESR 20x9 +35
 
Les, What size tires are running? Looking at your before coilover install picture, looks like you are at 7 1/2" wheel opening. Mine are about 5 1/2" front and back with Monroe Quick-Struts up front.

I’m running the stock tire size 255x50R20.
 
Doe anybody know if Scale's kit works for the Adrenalin's or just for standard ST's, I don't know enough about the differences yet... I would love to drop mine a couple inches...

Hello Gearheads,
As I mentioned a few posts ago, I have been on the hunt for a solution to replace the Scale Suspension very stiff coil springs / ride. I know this subject can be argued all day, but in my case the SS coil spring rate was just to high for the quality ride I was wanting at the low ride height I desired.

I spoke to QA1 gurus and they crunched all the arithmetic for Motion Ratio numbers for my 10’ STA v8 AWD. QA1 gave me the coil preload as a starting point with their coils. I am now using a QA1 pn:10HT650 (2”preload), (11 clicks compression) in the front and a QA1 pn: 9HT550 (1” preload), (4 clicks compression) in the rear. The ride is no longer stiff or harsh and is a pleasure to drive as it was with the oem suspension coils. I can now actually fine tune the compression knob to a desired quality joyride,

Any other issues on install/fitment adjustments?

The install was straight forward. Also make sure you order two (2) sets of the 2.5” trust bearings pn: 7888-109, so the bottom preload collar turns easier during spring preloading.
I ordered mine from SPEEDWAY MOTORS, they arrived in a few day.
