GOD forgive me for saying this, but I think this country is too far gone,
at least right now, for any one of us to think that we, as individuals, are
going to turn it around by any one purchase of any good or service,
be it large or small.
My philosophy now is to do what is right in your conscience, for yourself,
your family, and your immediate friends, without doing any intentional harm
to anyone else.
If that means you have to buy a foriegn car, to have money left over to
pay your mortgage and keep your family from being thrown out on the street,
and to put decent, healthy food on your table to feed your children, so be it!
Our (???) own Government has helped to create this situation, and until they
are ready to own up to their mistakes, we cannot be expected to fix the
state of this country by ourselves.
Can you say "Sheeples", Peoples? I have fallen prey to that myself...
My own opinion (and many other persons I have talked to) is that when the
U.S. Government gave Most Favored Trade Status to China, they were, in
fact, condoning a form of slavery, or "Indentured Servitude".
Not just the Government, but G.M. has invested almost 4 Billion (with a 'B')
dollars in China in the last three years!
They, also, are guilty of the above-mentioned "crime", as far as I am concerned.
Yet G.M., as the Government, claim that they are in a defecit and/or financial
crisis. Excuse me, but this doesn't take a Rhode's Scholar to figure out.
Could this not be a fallout of Corporate and Governmental greed and lack
of long-term forethought and planning?
Wait...I'll be right back...
There's someone knocking at my back door, AGAIN...
