Can the top silver rail be removed on an '07 Limited ???



It does not fit the ST. I want to paint it black or color to match.

Sure it can be removed. Not sure how to do it, but there has to be a way to remove it. The end pieces on the rails have skull caps that hide bolts...may try removing those and seeing what you find. Of course, the silver may just be a veneer that is clipped on.

Please post your results, I want to do the same thing....as well as the foot rail silver part.

I want to totally remove the top roof rails on my '07 but am worried about rust getting into any pukas (holes) that would remain. I think the foot rails might have to go too.

If you take the foot rails off and do not lower your trac you will be able to see a lot of ugliness under the doors. Just step back about 7 feet and notice what will be left if the rails weren't there, it's not a pretty sight. cc
