I washed my Trac over the weekend and noticed I have a few chips in my Tonneau Cover and near the drivers door hinge. Would the best place to buy the touch-up paint be just going to my dealer?

It's Estate Green.

Got a Sherwin-Williams Auto Paint store in your area? That's where I get all my touch-up paint.

Estate green is paint code "ST"

Any store that sells auto paints..

If you really want to do a good job, order you some Dr. Color Chip, @Drcolorchip.com. I used it on some scraches and chips on my '07 and it worked great. No blobs or discolor with this product and it is easy to use, a little pricey at $39 for a small bottle, special towel, brush, and gloves, but it works better than anything I have ever used.

I use a kit similar to Dr. Color Chip (linked below). My father had a small chip on the hood and, after using the kit, it was nearly invisible. The key is the blob remover solution, which enables you to fill the chip and make sure it is even with the sides of the unharmed paint.

There used to be a site sponsor that made touch up paint in a pen like device. All they needed was the paint code and they could match any OEM color on any vehicle. The also sold a clear-coat pen for vehicles with clear-coat paint.

I had a long scratch (got keyed) on my leased 2001 Toreador Red Sport Trac. I used the paint pen on the scratch, and I was absolutely amazed as to how well it hid the scratch. Even from 3 foot away you could not see any indications of the scratch. I turned the vehicle back in to get my 2003 Sport Trac and the scratch was never noticed by the dealer.
