Thinking of trading in the Trac for a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. What do you think? If they will give me $600,000 trade in then it's a done deal.

Thats a good deal since the car is only $555,000 in the US...

Says it's the fastest. Did I miss something? Last time I checked, the CC8 was the fastest, I saw it was on the list, but it appears to have gone down in price as well, as it used to hold both titles.

I'd take the Zonda C12 Convert, only something like 14 are being made. Italian, Fast, Expensive, Exclusive...what else do you need?

Jeff-

The CCR is faster then the 8...but neither were officially tested. The official (FIA sanctioned and approved) top speed holder is the Bugatti Veyron, a little over 400 km/p, or about 252 mph. Besting the previous record holder, the McLaren F1, by 12 mph. Rumour has it that on the dyno, the Veyron showed a top speed of 260+, amazing what air drag can do to kill your top speed.

There are lots of cars that claim to be the fastest (cough Koenigsegg, Saleen cough), but those numbers, for the most part, are estimates or private test results, which aren't official by any means.

Actually Bugatti has the fastest car. 250 MPH. Will go from zero to 250 MPH in 55 seconds. The Veyron hhas something like 955 HP.

That's faster than the McLaren F1 now? Or should I say FINALLY? The 0-100 on that was 6.2 seconds. I'm baffled by that speed. I bet it takes every ounce of strength a person has just to hold onto the steering wheel when you're accelerating at those rates. 0-60mph in about 6 seconds is roughly .75g, so we're talking WELL over 1.0 G to get to 100 that fast.

Sounds like fun to me though!!
