Transmission exchange

Hello,
New here. I am online to get as much info about replacing my transmission on a 2001 Sport Trac 6Cyl, 4x4. But before I take this baby down, I want to see if I can find out from someone, if I really have to go that route. Here is my situation:

- the gears engage ( R,1,2,3...) but I have no power it only revs up.
- 210K Miles
- no digression, just went into limp mode (O/D blinking) then stopped moving all of a sudden (within one trip)

Please tell me it is a gunked-up TC.

If you can get a scanner and pull some codes
That would help a lot.
If you do buy a trans. But from Jasper engines, I’ve been stalled engines and transmissions from them for over 30 years and they have some of the best warranty and customer service of any other company and their products are top notch .
they do everything in house and have all the Dino machines for testing every engine and transmission they rebuild

Did you check the fluid level? I think the 2001 automatic has a transmission dipstick.

It could be just a solenoid pack replacement, OR the 01 had bad valve body gaskets, OR at that mileage the trans is smoked...
