hey guys... was just wondering if anyone had used any wax or polish that they particularly like...

right now i just used nu finish polish and nxt meg. wax

anyone have any reccomendations???

I'm getting ready to try the TW Liquid Ice when it quits raining. Been wanting to try it. I have used DuPont Teflon before and really like the results. Tough to remove, but the shine and lasting is unreal.;)

If you can find it Liquid Glass is amazing wax. Gold can with a red vet on the front. It's very hard to come by and its upwards of 15-20 bucks a can/bottle but good stuff. You can actually apply it in the sun and let it bake into the clearcoat/paint and it lasts longer with a great shine.

cool cool... hmm yea, we have a few bottles of that liguid glass... was kinda turned away from trying it cuz of the warning lol

paint may appear on rag...something along those lines...

but thanks guys!

and the ice stuff is ok... i like nu finish better so far...

thanks tho =]

has anyone tried zymol or meg. yellow wax or color x????

When I bought my BLACK 2007 ST in June of '06, I went through a a lot of trials and tribulation trying to find a good inexpensive wax that went on easy, came off easy, and left a nice shine. I tried a ton of different waxes, applicators, and removal cloths. And I had a lot of dialog with many people on this forum (thanks again everyone!).

The winner was: Eagle One Wet which unfortunately is no longer available. I had a couple of containers left over from a previous vehicle and also picked up a couple more off of eBay so I'm probably set for the life of my present ST.

But even though you can't buy Eagle One Wet anymore, you CAN buy Eagle One Nanowax which, despite its stupid-sounding name, works nearly as well as Wet.

For application I use a damp sponge Meguier's wax applicator and for removal I use microfiber cloths.

I know there are probably better waxes and better methods out there (some requiring five or six steps!), but for something quick and easy, I heartily recommend Eagle One Nanowax.

hmmm thanks guys...

hell hound, ive always wondered how good that nanowax stuff actually works!

like i said ive stuck with meguires for...well since i got my truck in 05... was just wondering if there was anything better out there...

thanks guys! :D

if anyone has any other opinions on a good polish and wax i would love to hear them!

Mother's Paste Wax With Cleaner. Couple times a year, clay bar in the spring...which I haven't gotten to yet, if it would ever quit raining for a day or two.

Aint that the friggen truth. Too darn much rain. I am almost tired of it. Good thing I keep getting free car washes.

I've used the Turtle Wax Ice Product. In my opinion, it's good for a quick shine, easy to apply, Doesn't last very long, but you do get instant gratification. After a rain I've noticed vertical streaks directly below the six tie-downs. Nothing permanent, just an observation. In any case, Barbara Terry seems to like the product.

I like the stuff the car wash has:

Hand prep

Wheel & tire blaster

Underbody flush with rust inhibitor

Wheel cleaner

Soft foam wash

Triple foam polish

Clear coat conditioner

Rain-X Complete Surface Protectant

Spot free rinse

High velocity air dry

Meguier's # 26 Yellow is the best IMO. I use the liquid but there is also a paste. Deepens and brings out the color from my experience.

I tried the Ice on my black ST, but didn't really like the results. It seems to work differently on my wife's silver xB, so i keep it for that.

For the ST I like something that doesn't "stain" all the rubber and plastic that seems so abundant. black is a tough paint to keep from swirling. I will probably try the NXT on my next vehicle.

My ST is black and for me it stays cleaner longer using Zaino. They make a wide variety of products, but the one I use is called Z-AIO All In One. Comes in a 16oz bottle and you can do your entire truck with one oz.

cool thanks guys

i just got the #26 yellow wax today!

and does the ice leave anything like white stuff on the trim... at all? cuz geeze, i slipped once and that was so hard to remove from the stupid trim! gah!!!

and hey, has any one used the color x stuff or zymol???

i never heard of zymol till i was looking down the isle at advance when i was working one day... so kinda really interested in it...

or has anyone used the meg. 3 step process???

I've used Zymol. Great shine, but doesn't last for crap.

Ice is clear. It just leaves shineyness.

oh... haha

dingo.... whatd u think of the smell??? lol zymol smells friggin amazing!!! but figures it wouldnt last for anything! lol

hmm... guess i shall try some ice on the trim...

what do u think is better the back to black or the ice for the trim???
