Weird problem with gas tank

Hi, I went to fill up my 02 gas tank and after a few seconds the nozzle would shut off and gas would shoot out of the tank. I tried two different gas stations, same result.

It is very cold out, but this has never happened before no matter how cold it gets.

Any ideas?

SOmeone had this post afew weeks ago, it involved something with the fuel lines right below the wheel well coming out of where they should be? someone will explain this better, but i had this problem too, i just dont overfill it anymore... ill try to find the post for u.

Thanks. My gauge said it was just about empty, that is the weird part. Maybe a kink in the line?

The gas tank vent tube is plugged. The air can't get out as fast as the gas is going in.

There was a recall done for this issue, I don't remember the number, I'll look for it...

So, it looks like I should take it to the dealer to get it fixed, huh?

At least have them check if this falls into the recall...
