on sunday i filled up the trac at an exxon. $2.67 a gallon. i waited in line close to 35 minutes. all the other stations in the area were $2.89 or $2.91. i normally don't look at the price of gas but recently i've been paying real close attention to every station i pass.

Jason,

You honestly waited 35 minutes to save less then $3.00? If you get paid $10.00/hr at work you would have been better off going to work and having money in the bank.

If I have to wait more then a few minutes, I am going someplace else, even if the price is higher. My personal time is more precious then a few bucks. If I need money, I will go to work on sunday for $40.00/hr.

$2.89 i go avg 4 to 5 days on a tank last fill up $55 wifes expy. every week fill up last fill up $60 this is getting old with a quickness!!!

I know a guy who's paying $1.299. There's a station in the area that allows people to buy gas futures at whatever the current price is. Then, you just pump it as you need it. A few years ago, this guy paid them $10,000 for about 7700 gallons at that price. At the time, his wife thought he was crazy. Now, she thinks he was genious.

Bought a car because of the price of gas. Trac sit in driveway only to be driven on the weekends. What it costs to fill the Trac is paying for my car and the gas to go in it with $ left over. Right at $2.89 for 87.

Haven't hit $25 yet to fillup my Matrix. Wish I could say the same for the gas hog Explorer my daughter drives.

Have her buy her own gas. Problem solved.

3.8 Litres per gallon. So 3.8x1.099=$4.17/CAD a gallon. So the currency exchanged between Canada would come down to about $3.67/USD gallon. Take into consideration for the higher tax's in canada, we are paying about the same.

Caymen, you beat me to it. I was just converting from cnd to US as well and came up with roughly the same numbers you did.

$3.37 Regular in Newport Beach, CA

Thinking about trading the trac in for a Subaru Impreza wagon. 26 mpg is a heck of a lot better than the lousy 12 I'm getting now.

I've tried those low gas price web sites. They all seem to be several days behind. Everytime I go to one of the stations listed, it's way higher then they show.
