A few days after the elections, Roger posted that the gas prices had jumped up in his area (northern Calif). Down here in Texas they did not go up for several day after that, and then they only went from $2.09 to $2.11 for regular.

They have been at that price ever since. They reported on the news a few weeks ago that gas prices had jumped by 3 cents a gallon, but our prices dropped to $2.10 ??? The other day the news was saying that gas had jumped another 5 cents over the previous week and today I noticed that the gas prices dropped again to only $2.05 per gallon???

This is not just one gas station, this is about 4 or 5 stations along a 2 mile stretch of highway. 2 are Shell stations, one is an Exxon, one is a Texaco, and the last one is a Chevron (I think).

Is the gas prices in your area going up, down or staying the same since the elections??

We've held pretty steady. Went from $2.12 to $2.19 back to $2.13. Which is unusual only in that it's been so steady--In the Twin Cities market, when the prices go up, they usually jump about 25 cents, then gradually come back to their start point before the next spike.

Ours are $2.199 here for regular, but I use premium, so $2.399. It's up about $0.20 from the day before the election.

Georgia here- Prices keep climbing. From about 2.06 right at elections to 2.15 now Haven't moved in the last couple days but it shot right up the day after elections.

Holidays?

Gas was up to 2.69 and it started going back down again. Least expensive 2.49. When I move into the new shop gas will be 15 cents a gallon cheaper because of all the taxes where I live now.
