Just got done installing the wheel spacers (1.25") on my 07 Trac...... WOW, what a difference. After reading and looking at several photos of Trac's with the spacers, I decided to give it a shot. This is how the Trac should look from the factory.....

After carefully torquing the spacers to 100 ft lbs. in 20 pound increments, I took the Trac for a 25 mile mixed drive with no problems. I will re-torque the spacers in the morning, as I have run out of daylight (here in Florida that means it's mosquito time).

Looks great! Everyone keeps doing this... It makes me think about it more and more since I am probably not going to get my wheels and tires until spring (no sense in buying them now only to take them off for the winter).

it is nice.......

I don't know what ford is thinking...

I know my 03 handles a ton better, I wounder what id did for the 07 ??

ST-50...That looks freaking sweet!!! Good job!!!

MDM:

Don't know where ST-50 got theirs but I have a set of 1.5" spacers that I bought from another member here.. I lowered my Trac and put the spacers on as well. Although, I liked the rear wheels out, I took the both the lowering blocks and spacers off. I didn't like the harsher ride while lowered. Harsh on bumps that is.

I see ST-50 used 1.25" spacers but if you're interested in the 1.5" spacers, they are yours for $45 shipped.

MDManiac..... The Trac seems to handle much better.... Seems to be more stable. I purchased the spacers from Ebay..........

Todd Z..... I also installed the Recon smoked third brake light I ordered from you....... It is awesome. I will have to post some pictures.

Thanks

Is there a alignment/balance issue with this install? Can either 1.25 and 1.5

be used on '07 Limited? Is the install on all four wheels or just the rear?

Dave...is that a set of 4?

I have the same spacers on my 07 Limited (1.25") with the OEM 18" wheels. Only been on a few weeks but the truck handles fine. Can't feel a difference with or without the spacers @ 30 mph or 75 mph. /BRad

What is involved in installing these spacers? Also, is it something that with time will wear on other parts more so then if they were not installed at all?

Red,

Any time you move the wheels out or in you change the torque applied to something. Whether it be a suspension part, bushing or bearing....

Will 1.25 inches make a huge issue, maybe not in the short run, or maybe not at all, but it is always a chance you take...

I to feel the rear is more forgiving then the front ever will be on the Gen 1 , but the 07 having the independent suspension, I think it could cause issues on both front and rear...
