I have the in channel visor on my ST, my hubby has the regular one on his truck. I like the in channel better because it seems to stay in place better. .the other one, if there is the slightest bit of dirt when you put it on, it will come off..

I had the in channel kind on my old Ranger. They looked cleaner but after about 5 yrs they started falling off. I don't think I'd like the kind that tapes to the paint though...I gotta say, I'd be hesitant to try either kind again.:(

Mine is on the trim. I only have the one for the back window. It is great when I put it in the vent position. I can drive without worrying about rain flying in too much.

I don't think the rear window visor comes in an in-channel version. For the side windows, there are, like others have said, in channel and ones that stick on with 3M tape. I have the in channel types for about 2 years and they've held up just fine, no problems. However, my rear window visor is stuck on with tape. I don't believe you can have a rear window visor that goes inside the channel because the sliding window would just keep going down because it has interference.

I have in channel for about a year on the Trac, no problem..In channel on my wifes Escape 4yrs no problem...both are made by EGR...cost more but, better material and contruction than AVS...
