Just use door striker bolts (what the door latch or tailgate latch closes around). They're about $8 ea at the parts stores in the "HELP" section, or $1 - $2 ea at the salvage yard. There are different sizes at both the threaded end and the head end. I think mine came from a '70-80's Ford station wagon rear door, or same vintage Ford pickup tailgate. I picked up several at the salvage yard at the same time and don't know which I used, or if there was a difference. I took them off with vice grips. If they don't come off easy, move on to another one. Wish I knew what I did with the extras, because I need a couple for the lid on my '01!

Those are called pivot pins. Check with our site sponsor, fastpartsnetwork. Torrie should have them available.

You also need 4 grommets I believe, for the pivot pins to snap into.

I have 4 new OEM grommets in tbe package that I will sell for 15$

As for the strikers I used the ford PN, just because on my 01 trac when installing the bolt it actually cut its own threads in the aluminum insert in the bed.

The bolt will cut its own threads, and I got one of them in that way with no problem. The other side wouldn't go, so I bought a tap (you can buy them individually) to cut the threads and it went in much easier. The handle for the old tap and die set I had didn't fit the tap I bought so I used vice grips as a handle. Worked fine for this job.
