    Paint Overspray Removal ??

WD40? After applying, make sure you rinse and clean off throughly, then re-wax.

How many miles are on your ST??

Great to hear a lot of folks still have their tracs after the 100K mark. :) I have 60K on an '01 job 2.

Opinion needed: Repaint vs. Swapping Hoods

Thanks for the advise, everyone. I'll have to bring it in for a repaint estimate.

Opinion needed: Repaint vs. Swapping Hoods

Interesting! Unfortunately, I'm guessing the Ford dealer that I bought the truck from would charge me an arm and a leg for the repaint... :(

Opinion needed: Repaint vs. Swapping Hoods

Not sure which catagory this should be in, but here goes: I bought my ST used last year. To make a long story short, I paid more attention to trying to make sure the mechanicals were in good running order than checking the finish of the paint on the hood. I own a Meguiar's DA...

    catalytic converter thefts

Just wanted to post this up because I thought I had seen some threads here before that mentioned catalytic converter thefts. It seems to be a problem here especially when folks have to leave their cars at BART. Hopefully, this news will slow thieves down a bit, but who knows?

    Mojave Desert Camp Trip

Nice pics! Reminds me of when I used to go visit my grandfather in Barstow when I was younger. We used have some desert outings as well. It sure does get cold out there in winter.

Ebay no longer rocks for me...

I agree with TomT. Some people don't bother to shop around. There are people out there that think that just because it is sold on eBay that it is a good price. If folks would only do a pricegrabber search or some other kind of comparative search, a lot of times they could save some cash.

Ebay no longer rocks for me...

IMHO, I agree that eBay has become way too pricey for certain type of items. If you can find it on Craigslist, it's usually cheaper (certain PCs/Macs for sure)! Plus, as a seller, after eBay and PayPal take their cut, is it really worth it? On eBay, the buyer and seller are paying for the...

    Oil Change

IMHO, if you are going to change your oil every time, I would get a quick change oil valve. I have these on all my cars and it makes draining the oil quick and easy without the mess. You also don't have to buy the washers anymore or risk stripping the drain bolt.

    GPS shopping

I bought a Magellen a few months ago after doing much research. Whatever GPS you get, I would suggest getting one with the SiRFstar III chipset. The SiRFstar III is very accurate and can support up to 20 satellites simultaneously. Some GPS models might cost more, but have an inferior...

    O/D light blinking

Jayson, when I looked at your profile, I see you're from Antioch, CA. If you bring your truck in to be looked at or fixed, please let me know where you bring it and how the service was. I may need to bring my ST in someday. Thanks!

    Stolen Catalytic Converter

As others have mentioned, I'd try maybe parking at WalMart too. They usually have many cameras, all 24x7.

    Got Wii ?

I would check out the Sunday ads and see what stores have the Wii console in their ad. If they feature the console in their ad, I think that usually means they will have at least a few in stock. That's how I got mine at Target (in store). From what I understand, Target does is not put...

    Door lock triggers?

Hi All, I'm considering installing a car alarm myself. I've never installed an alarm before, but have installed car stereos, amps, speakers, etc. In researching, it seems as though the door lock wires I would have to tap into are in both the driver's side kick panel and passenger's...

    Keypad code

I found my code using the method jimp described. After removing the vent cover on the top of the dash, just flip up your wiper blade and look down from outside through the windshield. I didn't need a mirror to find my code.
