Yeah I had to do that every time I started the ST. I had to take it in for them to "reset" it to the proper settings.

Sounds like a PITA just like the low fuel warning(s). I wish there was a way to hack the Information Center and dash display to eliminate the redundant warnings.

Below is from the owners manual. I did not realize that miles OR time would cause the percentage of oil life to read lower. So sitting on the dealers lot for a couple of months would reduce the percentage. I guess that is the reason for percentage instead of miles in the setup.



Oil Life Start Value

1. Select this function from the

SETUP MENU for the current

display mode.

2. Press and hold the

SELECT/RESET control switch to

reset oil change.

3. Press the SELECT/RESET control switch for the next SETUP MENU

item or wait for more than 4 seconds to return to the INFO MENU.

Note: Oil Life Start Value of 100% equals 5,000 miles (8,000 km) or

180 days. For example, setting Oil Life Start Value to 60% sets the Oil

Life Start Value to 3,000 miles (4,828 km) and 120 days.
