I had them powdercoated black on porpoise. :)

And I wouldn't re-powdercoat them. There's a chance they'd lose their temper.

K, here's the bad pic of the finished project:

Sorry it's so dark in the after ones, but it was 9 pm. I'll get better pics tomorrow.

Oh, and a driveway mechanic will NOT be able to install these.

How much clearance did you have against the frame were we talked about the problem being?

I know your taking better pictures today, and its still a bit early but....

Any before and After Measurements?

Looks good.

I'm sure you'll have a full writeup and a ton of info for us on this!

Thanks again (<---- From XST and I) haha

Are we going to see any day-time pictures of the ST after you installed the springs? It would be nice to see how it compares to the before pictures taken in the same place.

Thanks,

Gene

You need a pic like the before pic! It doesn't look any different to me right now... I dunno why FORD ruined my life by making the suspension the way it is :)...

The front can go lower? I think 2" up front and 1.25" in the rear would be sweet!

What is the set price now that its all said and done?

Man I tought the BEFORE pic was the lowered one at first, but now that im paying attention I see its not... I really wanna see this.... If this is as low as the ST will ever go, im in 110%...

I need to see more Dingo, the teaser is the bad pics, not the pic of the shocks! :) You know how to work us impatient buyers hahaha!

Well, as I said, these are the prototypes and there's still more work and testing to be done. Maybe this will pacify y'all for now...

Wow....I hope they settle! From the pics it truely does not look too different. What are the measurements!?

Me likey! I know I've asked this 100x, but this is the lowest that anyone could go without doing something like airbags, etc...?

So have you had any issues with bottoming out on anything? What about shocks... they need to be changed out? Much difference in ride quality?

Doug you have to take your signature off! That height is like my dream height for the STA... Man that looks bad ass... The problem is we cant do that and its killing me when I see your posts! :)

That's not the full 1.25" lowering. That's an inch in front and 7/8" in the rear. I'm recalculating now to get the full 1.25" Look at the roof rack to top of door distance, though. And the camera was at the same height in both, as you can see.

And we can't go more than 1.25" unless one of you are going to make shocks for it, or like riding on bump stops. Nobody makes aftermarket shocks at all right now (Not even Monroe or Gabriel). I talked to my guy at KYB, and it will be 3-6 months before the OEM replacement shocks from them are out, and nobody I've talked to thus far is ever going to make a lowered shock for it. Remember that purchasing in numbers thing? Unless I sell 250+ of these kits, nobody's even remotely interested in making lowered shocks for it.

To go 2-3" all around until someone comes out with shocks I might consider riding on the bump stops ;)

haha...

Cant wait to see the full deal Dingo, good work.

Dingo, will you only be maknig the 1.25" kit on all 4 corners, or will there be different height options on the front? Id like to have 2 on the front and 1.25 on the rear... but of course i dont expect these to be made just for me.

I still think it to be best to give them about 2 months to see how they are gonna settly! I know on my mustang it settled a good .5"!!! So with what you have on right now (1"...7/8") It might just settle to be 1.5"....1.3/8"

I'm def in though...I called my tune shop already to get a price on install!!!! The guy there was excited to get cracking on this truck! He made some calls to his contact at Procharger to see about possibly getting a kit together for teh STA!!!

Settling in this case might not be a good thing. If the clearance is 1.25" because of the axle, then if it dropped another .5 to 1.75 you might be doing more damage than good... I think.

The 1.25" isn't because of axle clearance. That's just one part of it. It's mostly because of the lack of shocks.
