We are thinking of trading in the wife's Mustang for either a Mariner or Escape and was wondering if anyone had either.

Any problems, suggestions on options, opinions...

Thanks.

my momma loves her 06 escape, she got like 15k miles on it, and no problems whatsoever. i had to choose, well they about the same, so prolly wouldnt matter to much. only thing i dis-like about the escape is, its fwd and the rwd only kicks in when the front is slipping, thats prolly bout it.

Brother of a friend is a mechanic at a Ford dealer, he swears the only time they see Escapes in the service dept. is for oil changes.

My wife loves her 05 escape.. desent gas milage for a v6 22hwy 18 city

lots of power.. handles real nice... 2 years 24,000 miles, no problems...

My wife has an 05 3.0 Mariner. 18,000 miles. Lots of storage in that thing. Very peppy too. It doesn't have awd.

You have to take the upper intake manifold off to change the rear bank of spark plugs. It's not a big deal to do it.

My wife has an '01 escape 3.0L..at 40k it has been trouble free..neet suv in town or highway...get the wheel upgrade of 235/70-16, it will ride and handle better. The 3L V6 is very peppy with good mpg..tires, front brakes and oil changes is all it has needed...A few warranty issues were in the first 6months. After that smooth daily driver..

I have the 05 Mazda Tribute (same thing as the Escape) I have driven 35,000 trouble free miles in the past 2 years. I looked at both the Escape and the Tribute and chose the Mazda due to the longer warranty.
