Bought a bed extender but it won't clear the tonneau cover to go inside bed ????? pictures added.

i thought the sec gen sport trac bed extenders were black and the older ones were the aluminum color! i'll buy it if you dont like it i dont have a cover on mine. thanks paul

Mine is black, also the Gen 2 extenders have sharper angles where the Gen 1's are more rounded.

This is nice to know since there are more F-150 extenders out there than Sport Trac extenders.

Get the F-150 unit, shorten it up, and ba-da-bing, you're good. :supercool:

I agree,,, there are plenty of F-150's out there which does make them more affordable to purchase...

I've had 3 tracs with extender 2 with factory cover. they don't go inside with cover down elsewise if you gate was unlocked someone could steal your extender.
