chops et al--Don't be so hard on the people who have suggested cookware. My wife loves cooking, and loves to receive new kitchen stuff. So no, we're not nuts. It's just a matter of knowing the recipient, and what they will appreciate. If she likes cooking and would appreciate new cookware, do it.

If not, go with that $650 Pizza Hut gift certificate. :D

A serious option--again, it's a matter of knowing the recipient and whether they'd appreciate this--is a donation to her favorite charity.

How about several "emergency" kits....

One for each vehicle, one for the house, one for the self storage place - If you have one.

Also, take some out in cash and put in each kit....

If you want more info on "real" emergency kits let me know. I am working up kits for all of my family...

The gift that could save a life!!! Or at lease reduce stress and increase comfort during an emergency...

Just an idea,

Hope it helps,

Katman? For your "wife" ?????

:huh::unsure::huh::unsure:

see SST's and Chops posts :)

Gavin, give her some inspiration "kindly." She probably has a heart of gold. Not always is the body the best of a Woman. I'm sure somebody would and could love her for who she is. :(

Better than me? No doubt!!! :)

Nope, I'll get her something nice. We've already bought a new bedroom set this past week and new comforter, window treatments, etc. I know housewares don't count, but like most guys, I am really at a loss as to what to get her. She has bunches of really nice jewelry (from family and previous husbands!), she needs clothes but is very hard to find them to fit, she basically works like a dog at her job, is going to school for her PhD, and works around the house and then sleeps.

Any ideas for me would be appreciated!

I ordered my wife a "Mother's Ring" with authentic gemstones for each member of the family. Darn kids stones aren't cheap...May/Emerald and Sept/Sapphire.

Still came in at under $400.
