Double DIN in Gen II?

I did a search and didn't find the answer.

Has anyone installed a double DIN (DD) stereo in their GenII Sport Trac? If so, how does it look? Do you have pix?

Just so you know, I am in the early thought process so I haven't even removed the center stack trim or radio to investigate. For those that have done it, what are your recommendations? I'm pretty sure I have the headunit picked out already, but will listen to suggestions in that area also.

The stock unit is double din.

Yeah I did a Double DIN in my STA...Pioneer Z1000 headunit. Looks and works terrific!

Not the best pics, but this is an Alpine IVA-W205 in my '07:

I've since replaced it with an Alpine IVA-W505, but they are basically the same with the exception of screen layout and resolution.

The pics are with the screen tilted out to match the contour of the dash bezel.

I just added rear headrest monitors for the kids yesterday and of course they love it. If you are interested in rear headrest monitors check out the T-View T788PLH, you can't beat them for the price.
