Gas price in your state

Yesterday i fill up @ my local Mobile and i paid 2.83.... this morning it went up to 3.09 in less than 24.hr. W.T.H is going on .This make me :angry::angry::angry: that they are taking advantage of us and Bush as not step in and say to to big oil company it's not right :angry:

I've heard as high as $5.45 for regular on the north side of Atlanta....

Right...it's all Bush's fault. Has nothing to do with the fact that 95% of our oil-producing capacity in the Gulf has been wiped out by a frickin' hurricane. First it was RFK Jr. blaming Republicans for Katrina, and now gas prices are Bush's fault....despite the fact that he opened up petroleum reserves to try and make up for the massive loss of oil-producing capacity. No wonder the Dems can't win an election.



Even if I pay $3.10 a gallon when I fill up this evening, I'll still be paying less than just about anywhere else in the world. The price you pay for living in a capitalist society is that more often than not, you don't get something as cheap as you want it. Take it or leave it, but that's the way it is.

Joey--You're right in saying it's not Bush's fault. But you're wrong in saying that this is somehow the Democrats that are saying it's his fault. For most people, it's just general frustration in search of a target, regardless of political parties. If a Democrat was in office now, with no family ties to oil whatsoever, there would still be lots of people, of all political views, wanting to blame him/her for the situation.

The gulf is responsible for 7% of the nations petroleum usage. Maybe gas should only go up 7%.

Rob--It's not about how much that region uses--it's about how much oil that region produces, how much of the refining is done in that region, and how many of the pipelines and other fuel/oil transportation methods originate or go through that region.

Gas was $2.65/gallon last Friday at the gas station nearest my house. Today, it's $2.87. Not much more than 7% by my math. You're acting as though gas prices have doubled.

Really? Read the first two posts in this thread again. I'm not making false accusations or twisting anyone's words. It's right there, in their words, as plain as day.

Yea yea yea but if the leadership in this country hadn’t let it over inflate to the $2.30 range it was before the disaster it wouldn’t be as high as it is now. Its not that georgie boy comes from oil (although it is rather suspicious) it’s more the fact that our government as a whole seams to care more about what big corporate lobbyists whisper in their ears. As for local prices upstate SC that is supplied by colonial pipeline is at $2.99 gal and several stations locally are out of regular...I filled up all three of our cars yesterday (mustang,beemer, and ST) for $143.00 . I am a factory worker and can not continue on at this rate. None of my cars can be called a guzzler, there all 6cyl vehichles and get 19 to 28 mpg. Guess my next ride will be a moped....

You 100% right Walter. And as for u Joey" u sound like my EX CEO" for tyco that took food out of many of my co -workers mouth ,when he freeze our wages in 2001 and stole over 600 million dollar. And he makes 1.78 mill a yr not to mention the 3.5 million bonus that he gets every year.I dont make 6 or 7 figures like u per year so let me bitch
