Also, another thing worth mentioning is "if" the buyer thought the decal defective due to the two letters that were too close together (regardless if that actually was a defect), then from his point of view, returning the "defective" product in an altered condition would be no big deal.

The customer is not always right. If it had come back in one piece, within a reasonable amount of time I might still refund the money. But no way in hell would this clown get a red cent from me.
