You are correct. As mentioned above, the 2001 Job 1 Trac uses the FL1A filter and the 2001 Job 2 uses the FL820S.

are the K&N oil filters any good? It is about time for me to change the oil in my ST and I was thinking about swithcing to the K&N instead of using the motorcraft.

Andrew: I used the K&N filters for a few changes in my vehicle, and really saw no advantage. They cost me $9 each and I had to mail order them. The only difference I could see was the can itself was made of thicker steel, and there was a nut on the bottom of the filter to facilitate removal.



Was it worth $9 (almost 3x the cost of a Motorcraft from Wal-Mart)? No.
