My first post!! Just have to vent. Finally turned 45k on my 02 and figured I'd put on some new meat. I am still rolling on the stock RT/S. So I decided to treat myself to the Goodyear Silent Armor and upgrade to 265's. Since I am dropping almost $1k on these tires after the road hazard coverage, I figure go ahead and do the alignment. 2 hours rolls by and get the dreaded call. Either they are already done or there is something wrong. It was the latter. "we have your truck up on the rack but we can't do the alignment without a camber kit". CRAP! $89 for parts $95 more for labor! In addition my rotors are warped which I knew because I have had a vibration for a little while. Anyway, Love the site guys, I read the posts all the time. At least after today my trac will ride like the day I got it! Thanks for listening!

Can someone explain that, please?

They had to call me to get my approval to do the additional work. A camber kit is used I guess when the bolts supplied are no longer long enough to adjust back to spec. The brakes were fine (had the whole system replaced w/30k miles because a caliper froze and destroyed a rotor) I'm not thrilled with the aftermarket parts that were used but I know better now. I'll have to get myself more mechanically inclined like some of the gurus here....

Laughs, actually Matt it will ride better than the day you bought it.The first gen of ST did not have the camber adjustment on it. You can buy one for alot cheaper than 89.00 tho and there is a project for doing it yourself._Ron
