So, I've got a few extra dollars and figure I would do the shock upgrade to the Trac since I drive a lot and already have 33,000miles.

I call the local Sears automotive and he says a bunch of crap then spouts off..'Gonna cost you $303.50 for the rear shocks and installed.' That's right, just the rear for the Monroe shocks.

I call the local Express Tire (whom I have been going to for 5 years) and he says, 'bout $510 for all four and installed.

I call 4wheel parts (local store) and he says $260 installed if you buy the shocks through us. (Rancho Rs5000) Guess I'll be going to 4 wheel parts.

I got 4 rancho rsx's purchased and installed at Sears for about $300 they only charged me $60 to install it and took them only an hour? Each shoch cost me about $55 each

If you go through 4Wheel Parts you need to order through Nate (Nasty Nate on MyST.com) as he will give you a good deal. You could have them shipped to your local 4Wheel Parts storre, and have them installed there. Doing it yourself is really very easy, especially the front shocks - piece of cake. :D

My Sears runs ads in the Sunday paper all the time saying free installation on Monroe SensaTrac shocks. I got all four installed for about $198.

Originally got four Pro Comp 9000's from 4 Wheel Parts but the fronts had no crosspins and one was defective out of the box. Missing parts on Pro Comps seems to be a common complaint, although they didn't give me a hard time about a refund.

I bought Rancho RSX's for $204.00 shipped.

Had them installed today, feels great to me.(her trac)

I will have to wait till the wife drives it tomorrow.

Got four Monroe Reflex shocks installed for $289 total price tax included at Sears about seven weeks back. I was also at about 33k. What a world of difference. The reflexs are a few bucks more but I figure this a long term upgrade.

I got my ProComp 9000s for $126, including shipping. Installed them myself in a little over an hour. Had to reuse some of the old fasteners, though.

You can buy the Reflexs at rockauto.com now for $141 shipped. Installing shocks is so easy even for someone with no knowledge of doing it. Took me 2hrs my first time changing them now its less than 1hr.
