I'm considering the purchase of a 6X12 enclosed trailer. I'm curious to know how a trailer this size tows behind a Sport Trac. I have a 2003 XLT. Thanks.

Do you know the weight?? Brake type? Electric or hydraulic?? Single axle, Double axle ??

I recently purchased an enclosed 6x12 also, I haven't towed it anywhere but home yet. It's set to go about 800 miles at the end of the month and then from Norfolk, VA to San Diego, CA in June.

Mine is single axel haulmark with electric brakes. Seems to be just about the right size.. not too big not too small.. perfect for the ST :)

Ask again at the beginning of May. I will have pulled it from Norfolk to Georgia, Alabama, NC, and TN on my trackday/Deals Gap trip with 2 bikes and gear.

Can allways add a single anti sway bar on, They work great...

You will tow it fine. I have towed 8,000 LBS and my Trac did fine. Mind you, myu trailer is a 16' flat bed, but I have towed many things. Anything from a 1976 Mustang II Cobra II to a 1980 something Mercury Grand Marquis to a load of Locomotive wheels to this....

Once in a while, I even tow this...

Your Trac will do fine. Honda wants a pat on their back for building a truck that will tow 5,000 LBS. Theirs is a FWD powertrain modified to AWD.

6x12 , 2 full size harleys no electric brakes. Tows realy good, Gas mileage realy suffers but we sure like to tke all our stuff. Dom

It doesn't matter what you tow with, you will always get a hit on your gas mileage.
