An update for this post: About 50 miles after I got them put on I got one TPMS error, then during a long drive later I got another. Then, after refueling the first time now I get it every time I start the vehicle, guess it's time to find a way to disable it :^).

I broke down and picked up studded tires and new rims today. The tire dealer threw them on and cleared the TPMS error and I haven't seen it since. I'm guessing that since all four tire sensors disappeared the ST let them completely disable the TPMS system until I throw the old tires back on...

I just had this problem start occurring with my ST but only after washing it in a touchless car wash with spray on wax, which might be the cause of the streaks. I'm going to take a closer look and see if I can narrow it down.

I didn't install mine but it is a Cliford 3.5 Autostart/Alarm with remote door locks and due to the way I had it installed it also activates the windshield defroster and the driver seat heater if ambient temp in the cab is <55 degrees F.

I live in Anchorage. Just picked up my sport trac about a month ago but I'm all up for working with others on projects. Right now I've got several interior projects I've been consdering and also considering installing a utlrasonic parking sensor.

They are up to about $5.70 a pack here and getting ready to go up again if I remember right. I quit in late 1999 and they were getting ready to go up to $3.50ish a pack at that time. When I quit they were still about $2.50 a pack.

I'll have to try the Drive 55 theory out soon. At 65-75 I have seen mine hit 16-18mpg but have not seen anything above 20 yet.
