    Step Bar Removal

I checked for projects on how to remove the step bars and found projects on how to install them, but I couldn't find one on how to remove them. The winters in MA have finally destroyed my step bars and I purchased a set of Westin's to replace the OEM bars. I tried unsuccessfully to remove them...

    Issues with locking latches

Recently when I close the rear section of my OEM cover one side occasionally refuses to catch causing only one side to lock. This leaves one side raised slightly and I can't unlock or open it. I tried the WD-40 recommendation but that didn't solve the solve the problem. Upon closer inspection I...

    Tonneau cover lock

I read the past posts re: issues with the tonneau cover locks. My situation is the latch will lock but will not lock. I have attached a pull cord on each side so I don't need to use the key on the rear lock. The driver's side releases with the pull cord but the passenger's side unlocks but the...

    seat belt chime,

This procedure worked on my 3 Rangers and works on my 04 ST with one exception. If the belt is not buckled, I will get one set of chimes and then it will not chime again. Is that normal or should it never chime like on my Rangers?

    heated seat button

Thanks for the info. I was worried it was going to be something electrical and complicated. Once it gets warmer I take care of it. For now in "chilly" Mass the heat stays on!

    heated seat button

The heated seat button on my 04 is acting up. I am forced to push the button several times to turn the heated seat on or off. Does this sound like the switch or is there a relay that may be causing the problem. Also, how difficult is it to repair the switch and or relay. I should also mention...

    Vent Shade glue removal

Thanks to all for the feedback. I did purchase a new vent visor as the old one blew off on the highway. Circled back twice to look for it, but no luck. My problem is I waited a couple of months and now have grit stuck to the rubber where I removed the old adhesive tape and don't want to risk not...

Thanks for all the feedback, it was helpful. I'll pick up an anti-freeze tester and see what I have now and mix accordingly.

    Antifreeze change

I had my cooling system flushed by a retired mechanic who is a friend of mine. When I pick up the trac he told me he added 2 gal of pure antifreeze. I questioned this and he assured me this was fine. Now I want to remove a gallon and add water until I have a 50/50 mix (I live in Massachusetts)...

    Fuel gauge problems

I don't mind the gauge reading differently when parked on an incline. What bothers me is when the low fuel light comes on in my 04 I only have 1 gallon left. My rangers had approx. 4 gallons when the light came on.

    (BACK) REAR WINDOW VISOR, H E L P !!!!!

I was moving a refrigerator for my brother and when loading it he bumped the rear visor. I checked it and it was slightly loose on one side. I thought about removing it but figured I could make it home. I kept checking it and all seemed fine until I saw it fly off the Trac. I got off the next...

    plastic

I used it on the rubber around the windows and it worked great. One not of caution, it you apply it where you don't want it remove it quickly per directions or it may stain.

Where can I buy rear vent visor

I lost mine a few months ago due to being stupid. Bumped it loading the Trac but figured it would stay on till I got home.WRONG! I found one online for around $46 plus shipping (can't remember the site). Called my local dealer and told him what I could get it for online. He reduced the...
