    Help me make my decision

My 2002 Sport Trac has decided to develop a very heavy "blow by"issue. I have owned this truck since the end of 2003 and at that time it only had 25k miles I guess 360k is all I am going to get out of the original engine.......I still love the truck and only thing I would replace it with is...

    Engine Vent Tube

Question about the vent air tube..I have a 2002 (production date 10/2001) ST. The vent tube, part number 1L5Z-6853-BA (see diagram below) fits the hose coming from the engine, but the opening in the air hose from the MAF senor to the throttle body is larger in diameter and the tube does not...

The A/C will be in the normal mode with the fan on high cooling fine and all of the sudden the air will change (you can actually feel the difference in humidity) and the A/C will stop cooling. I can turn the switch to...

    Front End Noise

I have a 02 4X4 Sport Trac with 158K miles, and a few weeks ago I began hearing a noise in the front end. At first I thought that the differential may be low on gear oil, so I removed the plug and was immediately meet with oil…..so much for that thought. My next guess would be the front...

    Coolant smell

OK, here’s the request…….. I am beginning to smell coolant on the left side of my ST. (usually when I get out, or have the window down) The smell is not inside so I have dismissed a heater core. I see no signs of leaking coolant on the ground, although the coolant level was low (about a...

    4x4 Rear End swap

I have had pinion seal leak for several months and finally took the time to replace the rear seal. The rear end now has a whine that increases with speed. I pulled the rear cover and removed all fluid with no evidence of metal or any noticeable damage to the ring or pinion gear. I replaced the...
