Train trac, gun ownershipo is not outlawed in New York. You can have long guns in both NYC and the rest of the state. A conceled carry is obtainablel ,relatively easily, for law abiding citizens. In NYC is is MUCH tougher unless you have political pull or extra money!!

But I'm in favor of banning smoking in public places (since I work in one and don't smoke tobacco products) but I'm not in favor of banning handguns, even though I don't own one. Go figure...

Washington state registered voters just passed the No Smoking In Public Places and I believe it goes into effect Dec 1 or Jan 1.



The old CA Gov wanted to pass a law where illegal aliens could get a drivers license without proof of insurance. Glad that didn't happen.



State of WA they have to prove why you can't have a gun.

The California law would allow immigrant migrant workers the ability to obtain a CA drivers license. The big problem is that they want to make them DIFFERENT than a NORMAL CA drivers license to show that they are illegals with a CA DL. The civil rights groups don't like that idea... So they want to give illegals perfectly NORMAL CA drivers licenses, so that ANYONE can come here and get one. How nice, huh? Are you a terrorist and need some USA ID's??? Come to Kollyfornya, and get one! I hope that it doesn't happen... They want to give 'em a license, no problem. But at least show that they're NOT US citizens!!!

If we want to have cheap labor in this country by allowing access to U.S. jobs by foreigners, we should have a "workers permit". You are a guest of this country and are NOT entitled to all that is available to citizens of the U.S. I would also like the citizenship law to be revised to state "a child born in the U.S. from parents that are not legally in this country, are NOT entitled to a U.S. citizenship, but must take the citizenship of the parents"

I agree, but IF they're gonna be here driving on OUR roads, let's let them take a driver's test, and have a 'special license' so that they are 'legal' while they're here, similar to a 'work license'. I don't think that it should allow them other benefits, just the ability to drive and have a 'valid' CA Identification. You ever look at Mexican I.D. cards? PITA to find a date of birth on there!

The thing is that they are ALREADY driving on the roads, and they do NOT carry insurance, so in case one of them runs over your grandma, your only recourse will be having them deported (if it ever happens) and have their car impounded, and your family will carry all the hospital/funeral home bills.



OTOH, if they have a valid drivers license they can get insurance, ergo, your grandma's bill are payed by them.



If the licenses are the same as all others, they can put in the DMV's database a note about the immigration status, when something happens and a cop or another authority checks the DL number, they arrest the driver and sends him/her back to whichever country he/she came from. How 'bout that?



Of course the DL # check would happen if there's physical harm to others or if the damage exceeds, let's say $1500...



One way or the other, as I said, they're ALREADY driving... Who do you want to pay for granny's hospital bills?

I have to chime in again. If they are illegal then they should be escorted out of the country not driving around. It seems that everyone is trying to justify giving them licenses, etc. Either legally document them or not allow them to stay. Stop rationalizing why they should get licenses and start figuring out how to handle our open orders. We spend more time and money trying to prevent weed from coming into this country than we do on illegals.

So the voters of SF want to ban handguns. That's Democracy. Nevada legalized prostitution and doesn't have an income tax. More Democracy. Fortunately, we can leave any state we don't like the laws.



The California illegal alien issue is more complex than it appears since a good part of the manual labor force are illegals. It's a parallel system to the legal work force and it's allowed to exist because prices for agricultural products and building would go way up if it were disrupted.

I still haven't heard anyone who is FOR this gun ban! Is there NO sport trac owner who is also anti-gun? I would really like to hear your opinion on how taking guns away from LAW ABIDING citizens is going to help your cause, or make the world a safer place. I promise that I will not personally attack you or anything. It just doesn't seem logical in MY mind to take guns away from the good guys and allow the bad guys to keep 'em. Somebody ENLIGHTEN ME!!
