Shutdown- No End in Sight?

Wonder why they couldn't have just suspended foreign aid, especially to countries who hate us and use that money to pay the bills?



They wouldn't have to raise the debt ceiling so much if they would stop approving all these spending bills. Why haven't they figured this out yet?

I realized what I liked best about the shutdown: no illegal tour buses on the BW Parkway. To provide some background, Congress somehow (can't be legal...) owns a huge chunk of the BW Parkway and refuses to modernize it so it cannot handle the brunt of rush hour traffic. It won't let the state of MD touch it either. There are signs at the boundary between the MD-owned part of the road and the Congress-owned part of the road which state "no commercial vehicles". Yet today there were scores of buses scoffing at that sign by sailing past it, clogging the roads.



I miss the shutdown. :cry:
