Does anyone have a gen 1 ST that can recommend a vehicle cover for it? Due to its age, I am having a tough time finding one that I trust will fit properly without stretching too much or being too lose.

Years ago, there used to be a project that someone had added an ambient temp sensor to their ST Gen 1. I cannot find it in the projects section any longer. Does anyone have a copy of it for reference? Thx, JW

Tranny is trashed. Gonna have to get it replaced or rebuilt. Taking it to local shop with good reviews. Worst case $2300.

It is at the dealer now. We'll see what they say. I don't trust any tranny shop, so dealer was my best option.

Does anyone know what the light bulb number for the HVAC panel is? I believe there are 2 bulbs in it that twist in place. I need to replace one, but I need the bulb number if anyone has it. Thanks!

$163 for a bracket! I'm in the wrong line of business. I need to go into step bar bracket replacement business and I could undercut them and sell them for $162 a piece...assuming someone will buy them.

They are bent toward the rear. That vice trick may work. It is worth a shot. If it doesn't work, I can always buy new bars. Vice method is free though :). I'll give it a shot.

I have an '03 ST and I thought the step bars were bent after ST vs large curb. After closer inspection, only the brackets were bent; and bent bad! Is there any place that will sell just replacement brackets without having to ante up the dough for the entire bar(s)? Thanks, JW

I actually took the whole switch out yesterday. There is a bulb in it, it just isn't replaceable. Kind of stupid, but I'm not going to spend $50 for a new switch for the bulb to burn out in another 2 years.

TJR, I believe what happened is that someone hit a shopping cart into my Trac. I do have some very extensive scratches and the shopping cart was pinned against my vehicle with no vehicle next to it. It was almost wedged into it.
