If Bush had done it...

Maybe this article will help.

It says Eisenhower, Clinton and Carter also pronounced it that way, and it was listed in the dictionary that way in 1961, so maybe the rest of us are wrong?!?

Maybe the Congress and the Social Security Administration can add Bush Derangment Syndrome as a legitimate "disability" so you can qualify for SSI benefits!:bwahaha:

Obama Derangement Syndrome is far more important since it seems to affect more people more severely.

Then there's the pronunciation of "police." The accent is on the second syllable.

I think the shitty economy started around 1998 with the tech boom bust.

It goes back further than that. The current state of our economy can be tied to two very significant events:

1. Severing the dollar's tie to the gold standard and making it fiat currency.

2. The Community Reinvestment Act, signed into law during the Carter Administration.

Lets quote a VERY IMPORTANT comment made here...

It's always interesting to note Obama supporters will never argue the points of interest or facts, they just keep blaming Bush.

Anti-Obama/Anti-Democrat will blame everyone they can think of.

I place the blame with Abraham Lincoln.

I place the blame with Abraham Lincoln.

So I take it you are Anti-Obama/Anti-Democrat?

because you place the blame on Abe?

Am I missing something between the lines "Uncle Tom":bwahaha:

Caymen,

I place the blame with Abraham Lincoln.

I know this sounds like a loaded question, but perhaps you might want to elaborated a bit more on why you blame Abraham Lincoln for todays finacial crisis??? I'm sure I am not the only one who can hardly wait to hear your thinking on that statement!

Hey, if I am going to blame someone, I might as well blame him.

Abraham Lincoln sounds like a good scapegoat.

Sorry, I thought you may have had some real insight or logical explaination for blaming Abe. I guess it's just another one of your random brain farts that you thought you needed to share with us. Nothing new or worth discussing.

Caymen,

I choose not to throw my pearls to swine.

Those are not "Pearls" they are "Turds", which are direct results of your brain farts. The fact that you quickly resort to calling people names (swine) continues to demonstrate your total lack of knowledge, logic and credibility on any subject discussed here.

I guess I should have known better than to try to get a straight answer out of you about your "Blame Abe Lincoln" comment.:banghead:

As you make that comment with a halo over your head.

Give me a break.

Yes, I can make that statement with a halo over my head. I feel no guilt since I did not stoop to your level and call you any derogitory names. My statement about you is not only my opinion, but is shared by many others on this website.

I respect anyone here who wishes to discuss any topic if they show respect, intelligence and logic in their discussions. You do not posess any of those qualities and you only want to stir the pot and insult people. You are one of the few here who interject themselves into a discussion with some totally absurd statement. When anyone questions you about the statement you find that as your que to start your insults and BS.

I asked you a legitimate question about why you wanted to blame Abe Lincoln and got a sarcastic, illogical answer...That's exactly why I said it was probably a loaded question before I asked it, since I expected your reply would be bizzare and lack any forthought or logic....And of course you did exactly as predicted.

If you want the last word, go ahead and post a reply...but I will not.

...Rich

It is not about having the last word. It is about you being two faced.

Fact is, my comment was simply pointing out the "flaws" of the Obama haters out there. They get upset about anyone trash talking Bush and claim the old "Its Bush's fault" is getting long in the tooth. The same goes both ways. Hearing the anti-Obama crowd keep blaming everyone from Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter to one of the greatest presidents in US history, Franklin Roosevelt.

Of course, you are no different. You speak with a forked tongue. You say how innocent you are, but you still call me names. Direct or not, you still try to insult me. The difference is, I call a spade a spade.

As for your comment about other members here, rest assured, you are not very well loved either.

Again, this is not me having the "last word", it is simply me making a statement. Like it or leave it, I really don't care.

Tom

one of the greatest presidents in US history, Franklin Roosevelt.

Caymen, I think your quote should read like so:

one of the greatest presidents in US history, Theodore Roosevelt.

FDR was a hack, and made the depression last longer with his short-sighted social policies. If Hitler hadn't seen fit to drag America into WW2, FDR would have been remembered as worse than Herbert Hoover, instead of the other way around.

Please, enlighten me on the greatness of FDR.

Oh, and comparisons are made between FDR & Obama as Obama is trying to steal some of FDR's tactics for giving us socialism. Unlike Obama's, FDR's are largely countenanced by society...which is why PresBO is borrowing from his book.

Franklin D. Roosevelt goes down as one of the greatest presidents in US history. While you may think he was a hack, history rates him higher than Aberaham Lincoln and George Washington.

We can speculate that he caused the depression to last longer than it would have, but it is purely speculation.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Too many of us are arm chair quarterbacks. Once we are in the hot seat, then we will understand why things are the way the are.
